After graduation from Allegheny in June 1966, we were married on October 29, 1966.

Dave had finished Air Force Officer Training School (OTS) and was assigned to the USAF Honor Guard at Bolling AFB , Washington,D.C.  Ginny taught biology at John Hanson Jr. High in Oxon Hill, Maryland, where we lived.  After two years in Washington, D.C., we spent two years in San Antonio, Texas, where Dave was a Flight Training Officer at OTS and Ginny continued to teach school.  Upon discharge from the Air Force, we moved to Indiana , Pennsylvania, where Dave attained an M.A. degree.  Our son Scott was born while we lived there.

We moved to the Philadelphia area, and Dave finished podiatry school there in 1975.  The Air Force provided Dave an Armed Forces Health Profession Scholarship for his last year of study.  Upon graduation, he was assigned to Elmendorf  Air Force Base
hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.  We returned to Indiana, Pennsylvania in 1977 where a practice of podiatric medicine was established.  After enduring the blizzard of 1978 in western Pennsylvania, we decided a warmer climate would be more desirable.

We moved to Dothan, Alabama, in 1978 where we started a podiatric medical practice.  The practice was integrated into the orthopedic and medical community.  Ginny served as office manager for thirty years, and we enjoyed all of our time together.

In 2008 we decided to retire and pursue new activities. We have traveled extensively and have enjoyed a  number of hobbies. Over the years we have both been very involved in our church and many  community organizations.

We will be moving  in 2016 to Uwharrie Point at Badin Lake, North Carolina.  This is closer to our son Scott who lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He is an associate professor in musculoskeletal radiology and fellowship director at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

We look forward to many  active  years of retirement in this lovely area near the Uwharrie National Forest
